BUILD
Assemble real projects, step by step.
Curious Minds. Capable Hands.
A hands-on Builders Club for kids ages 7 to 12, with programs launching in the Baltimore, MD and Philadelphia, PA areas. Kids build real projects, solve real problems, and discover what they’re capable of.
No building experience needed. Just curiosity and a willingness to try.
01 What is Brave Hands?
Brave Hands gives children real opportunities to measure, design, build, solve problems, make mistakes, try again, and create something real.
Brave Hands is not about turning every child into a carpenter. It is about helping kids become curious, capable, confident problem solvers. The kind who look at something hard and think, “Let me try.”
02 Founding Builders Club
Our signature program is a four-week Builders Club. Every week brings something new to build, learn, and figure out.
Founding Builders Club
Founding price
$225 per builder for four weeks
4 weeks | Four Saturdays
Exact dates, available cohort times, and venue information will be announced when each location opens for registration.
Join the Founding Families ListThis isn’t four unrelated activities. Builders stay with the same small group all four Saturdays, so skills and confidence carry from one week to the next.
Choose one cohort. We’re planning 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM Builders Clubs, and builders stay in the same cohort for all four Saturdays. Available cohort times will be confirmed when registration opens for each location.
Made for kids who…
Builders who complete a Founding Builders Club cohort are recognized as Founding Builders.
Looking for a one-time experience? Selected Single Build Workshops may be offered throughout the year for $65 per builder, as separate one-time experiences.
03 Project reveal
That is part of the fun.
We intentionally do not reveal every Brave Hands project ahead of time. Builders arrive knowing they are going to create something. They discover exactly what that is when the experience begins.
Projects may involve measuring, designing, assembling, sanding, fastening, problem solving, and other practical building skills.
You will know when you get here.
You will know how you built it when you leave.
04 Why Brave Hands?
Technology is an important part of children’s lives, and we’re not here to replace it. But some things a screen can’t teach: the feel of a measurement that’s a little off, the patience of fixing it, and the pride of holding something you built yourself.
Not anti-technology. Pro-balance.
Assemble real projects, step by step.
Read a ruler, mark a line, check the fit.
Plan it and think it through first.
Make it their own and take it home.
Figure out what went wrong and fix it.
